My Reflection on John Chapter 1
I imagine that all of creation is like a book written by the hand of God. Inside this book are all realms, times, and realities. God is the Author who knows the beginning and the end. Beyond the pages of this book is a higher realm — where we find the Father, the Word, and the Spirit. They are one, and together they are God.
It was the Word who wrote all of creation from the beginning to the end. But one day, He chose to become part of His own story. The Word became flesh and lived among the people He created. Sadly, they did not recognize Him. Instead, they rejected Him. He took on a new role — the Lamb who takes away the sin of the world.
In this chapter, the Word is called many names: the Light, the True Light, the Light of Men, the Son of God, and the One who baptizes with the Holy Spirit. But at the center of it all, He is the Word. There is no one like Him and never will be. What a great honor it is to witness Him, to belong to His Kingdom, and to enjoy the presence of His Holy Spirit.
I noticed that the first two disciples followed Him after hearing John’s testimony. When Jesus asked them, “What do you want?” they said, “Where do you stay?” They spent the whole day with Him. I find that moment so inspiring — that the Creator became part of His own story and humbled Himself to live among His creation, even though He could change everything at any time.
From this, I began to understand what free will truly means. God, the Author, has given us the choice to decide what role we want to play in His story. If we choose the path of good, He writes us as heroes. But if we choose evil, we become villains. Sin is simply going against the will of the Author — and it never ends well for any character, whether angel, demon, or human.
He is the Beginning and the End. No one can outsmart Him or go beyond the pages of His book. Only He exists outside time and space; everything else lives within the pages He wrote.
I once saw this book in a vision. I believe it is the same book mentioned in Revelation — the one sealed with seven seals. And guess who was worthy to open it? The same One who wrote it — the Author who became a character. The Lamb. He alone was worthy because the book bears His handwriting.
